"In building the high throughput screening operation at our institute, the Genera Suite was chosen for its flexibility to integrate a heterogeneous mix of equipment from different manufacturers and vendors. This has allowed us to shop competitively for each item and still have system integration software that is tailored to our needs. "When we started to plan a high throughput screening facility we were very hesitant about choosing a central control software. ReTiSoft has helped Johnson & Johnson to integrate two automated systems. The first system is located in Exton, PA. It uses a CataLyst Express robotic arm along with two microplate readers. The second automated system is located in Cranbury, PA. It consists of eight instruments with a ThermoFisher A265 robotic arm on a rail. It is used for crystallography based assays.

Jonhson & Johnson uses variety of equipment from different vendors which could be problematic with some system integrators. "Mid 2004 my Biomedical Engineering group wanted to develop a set of software tools which would help us with the integration of robotic systems for our internal customers.
